A Blessing in Disguise

A month ago, I participated in my first craft show.  It was a beautiful day, but there were also several other shows that Saturday, so needless to say, I didn't fare too well - didn't even make up the entry fee.  Then, three weeks ago, I entered my second show with much anticipation since the venue was larger and the only one that weekend.  Well, Mother Nature decided to rain on my parade.  Actually, as my grandma would say, it came a gully-washer.  The show started at 9:00 a.m - at 9:05, the heavens opened and poured down rain ALL day.  I made one sale, and three hours later, decided to pack it up and go home (as was everyone else).

So what was I to do with all these Halloween and Thanksgiving treat boxes I had filled with candy?  I didn't know if they would survive a year in storage, so I sent them with my husband to his office for his co-workers to enjoy. And from that I have received orders that I probably would not have gotten otherwise with orders waiting in the wings for Christmas.

Instead of my glass being half-empty, I choose to say the rain was a blessing.  God is so good all the time.

Here is a pic of the order I made for Thanksgiving treat boxes using my Cricut Expression, Create A Critter and Home for the Holidays cartridge.  The pumpkin pie slices are a CCR file from Cricut.com.
